For 3 Sisters is a national grassroots organization dedicated to raising awareness and improving the lives of people affected by breast cancer. It was founded by retired firefighter, Marshall Moneymaker and his wife Shannon after he lost three older sisters to breast cancer. For 3 Sisters is committed to supporting breast cancer fighters and survivors in any way possible, so no one fights breast cancer alone. Marshall’s story and the work of For 3 Sisters has been featured on Good Morning America, the Washington DC affiliates of FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC, The Washington Post, and CNN.

When Sherry was diagnosed with breast cancer, her world felt like it was crumbling. Then, out of nowhere, another life-threatening illness hit her, and she had to stop her breast cancer treatment early. The months that followed were some of the hardest in her life. She felt lost, scared, and completely alone, unsure of what to do next. That’s when a close friend stepped in and told her about For 3 Sisters. Feeling like she had nothing to lose, Sherry reached out—and it changed everything. From the very first conversation, For 3 Sisters made her feel supported. We didn’t just give her advice; we showed up. We went with her to her appointments, helped her understand her treatment options, and gave her the confidence to make decisions about her care. We also guided her through the tough process of putting together a living will, a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate), and her final wishes—things she had been avoiding because they felt too overwhelming. We didn’t stop there. We made sure Sherry had groceries when money was tight and gas to get to her appointments. Every little thing we did reminded her she wasn’t in this fight alone. Sherry, who adores her bunnies and finds peace in caring for them, started to feel like her old self again. What had once felt like a hopeless situation started to feel manageable. For 3 Sisters gave her the hope and strength she needed to keep going. Now, Sherry is back on track and on the path to remission. What started as one of the darkest times in her life turned into something brighter, thanks to the advocacy, understanding, and care she found through For 3 Sisters. ??
