This June, we announced the launch of the ImpactFool (IF) Fund*, a venture philanthropy effort to find, fund and support early-stage nonprofits helping Americans take steps toward Financial Freedom.? We focused our first search on the Greater Washington DC area and we had the honor of being? introduced to nearly 90 impressive organizations from across the region. Today we're thrilled to announce our first two ImpactFool Nonprofits! ?? ?? NeighborShare provides pivotal funding to households with critical needs of $400 or less: needs that would otherwise go unmet and have the potential to send families into a financial tailspin.? ? ?? Tzedek DC offers free legal services and financial counseling to low and moderate income DC residents with debt-related legal issues, while also fighting for systemic change like erasing millions in medical debt. We’re providing each of these ImpactFool Nonprofits with a $300,000 grant and hands-on support for the next three years, helping them dramatically scale their reach and impact. The Motley Fool Foundation extended our Fools For Good Day to TMF Members for the first time! This week, members had the chance to volunteer to help one of our Financial Freedom Rule Breakers, Dan Weidenbenner, ED of Mill Village Ministries in Greenville, SC. Fresh fruits and veggies were boxed up to help families in need. Thank you, Fools, for being FOOLS FOR GOOD!
