A group of Foodliner and Quest LIner employees are better equipped to respond to a workplace emergency. McCoy Group Safety Coordinator Jim Larsen recently hosted Foodliner, Quest Liner and other McCoy Group teammates for a certified CPR/AED class at the McCoy Building in Dubuque. Larsen is a certified instructor. Sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death and occurs when there is a sudden loss of all heart activity due to irregular heart rhythm. CPR and the use of an AED device play significant roles in the survival rates of those who experience cardiac arrest. Survival chances decrease by 10% for every minute that immediate CPR and the use of an AED is delayed, according to the American Red Cross. #CPR #AED #WorkplaceSafety #GoingTheDistance
