Bringing teams together with virtual and in-person experiences, celebrating diversity through kits delivered worldwide.
关于我们
Inspired by the rich diversity of New York City, the cultural capital of the world, Kits by Food Craft began as a product of dreams and motivation. Founded by Aimee Moslares-Aguirre, who had a great interest in cooking and mixology and learning the value of confidence in the kitchen, she opened Food Craft Cooking Studio. It initially started with a sushi-rolling class for corporate team-building, but the company goal had to be shifted because of the pandemic. The concept of DIY Bubble Tea Kits was launched in March 2020 and changed its name to Kits by Food Craft. By June 2020, Aimee found optimism and courage to take its course by hosting virtual experiences with kits delivered that led to more events like Boba and Tea & Hot Sauce Making. Kits by Food Craft came through, and we are ready to bring joy and connection with teams that go the extra mile. Revitalizing remote team bonds through DIY Kits and Virtual Experiences is what Kits by Food Craft endeavors to achieve.

Our founder, Aimee Moslares-Aguirre, started her journey as an immigrant, navigating the challenges of building a career in a new country. Every experience, every lesson, led to the creation of Kits by Food Craft, a business rooted in inclusivity, cultural awareness, and meaningful team experiences. As we celebrate this milestone, we want to thank everyone who has been part of our journey, our team, clients, and partners who believe in what we do. Because of you, we get to create opportunities, foster connection, and bring cultures together through our workshops. Here’s to five years of faith over fear, and many more to come! #KitsByFoodCraft #SmallBusinessJourney #CulturalConnections #CelebrateFive
Corporate Event Planner I Virtual & On Site Team Building | Employee Engagement Strategist | Founder @ Kits by Food Craft
Fifteen years ago, at 19, I left the Philippines for an internship in Florida. Fresh out of college, I met fellow immigrants, many from the Caribbean, who like me, were chasing better opportunities. I knew I wanted to stay in the U.S. and build a career in New York City. The problem? Staying was expensive. My mom made it clear: if I stayed, I was on my own. But I was young, hopeful, and determined, so I applied to extend my visa, skipped my return flight, and moved to the Big Apple. Reality hit hard. My degree didn’t matter here. I had to start from scratch. Even though I spoke English, I struggled with slang and cultural nuances. I remember watching my first comedy show, confused about why people were laughing. At 20, I landed a job as a barista in Battery Park. I didn’t drink coffee, had no clue what an Americano was, and two weeks in, I broke the coffee machine. Instead of firing me, they saw my work ethic and reassigned me. Humbled but relieved, I embraced starting over. Money was tight. I worked breakfast and lunch shifts, went to school, then worked dinner service. At one point, I juggled three jobs in a single day. I remember weeks when I had only $20 for groceries… but somehow, I was happy, full of gratitude, just pushing forward. If you told me 10 years ago that one day I’d have my own business, leading fun yet intentional workshops that promote cultural awareness, I wouldn’t have believed it. I couldn’t see it then. But my experience as an immigrant shaped everything, how I build my team, how we support each other, and how we design workshops that are diverse and inclusive. Every struggle, every job, every lesson led me here. And for that, I’m grateful. Kits by Food Craft is turning 5 soon. If you are part of my small business journey, thank you for choosing us and for allowing me to create opportunities not just for myself but for others too. Cheers to putting faith over fear!
