Are you a huge Shark Tank fan? A lot of founders I work with are inspired to finally start their business - if others can do it, so can they! I was SO excited when Chennelle and Justin, co-founders of GoodLove Foods called to me they were going to be on Shark Tank. I had to sit down with them for the podcast and hear about this epic experience, what led up to making this decision, and what they are doing now that the episode has aired (and spoiler alert - they made a deal). The end of 2023 and 2024 was a breakthrough 13 months that started going viral on Instagram with the help of Kayla King (see course special below if you want to do the same) and then haviing to scale up FAST to meet the onslaught of orders - a good problem to have, but still a problem. You can listen to other milestones in Chennelle's journey on episodes 72 and 135 of the podcast too. These co-founders and life partners are full steam ahead on their 10X goal to be the go-to GF frozen bakery products on retail shelves and beyond. Don't miss this episode! • Expo West just wrapped up and whether you went this year or have attended another large show or even a big farmers market, it can stir up all kinds of feelings. It's easy to fall into compare and despair or a low-grade hopelessness after seeing so many amazing brands showcasing their best side. Instead of using trade shows or markets to beat yourself up, you used them as proof that it’s possible? When you see brands thriving, in this industry or even your category, take it as evidence that there’s demand. It can be proof that people are buying, the customer base is growing, and that your unique path is waiting for you. If they can do it, so can you. Let other brands inspire you, not intimidate you. You’re here for a reason — people want what you’re creating, so keep going. Click here to listen https://lnkd.in/guMb-dX7 or watch the video on YouTube https://lnkd.in/gbag-JGy. • You probably know that markets, pop-ups and in-person events are a sales channel that Danny and I both love. On today's podcast we explain why we love them so much, how to get into the events and markets you really want, and how to make more money per minute once you are there. Some founders (maybe even you, Hope) shy away from participating in markets because they don't want to be obligated to work every weekend. I totally get it. This isn't a problem! You just need to know how to hire and train correctly (most people do it the exact ? wrong way! ?) On the podcast, I share with you a pro tip I teach in Master Your Business to get ready to hire and train a staff well. Imagine having money show up in your account with happy customers and you were waterskiing or napping or sipping a ?? by the pool! Danny took three months off last summer to be in the mountains working on trails (because, he loves doing that) and his brand was at over 200 events! He teaches you how to do this in the Hiring & Training Workshop. This is the last few days to get the Up Level Workshop for just $97 and increase your sales - guaranteed (yep, I'll refund your money if you don't increase your sales). Get the bundle offer and save big already ($171), plus use code SELL50 for an additional $50 off the full course. Purchase either offer here. https://lnkd.in/gXBSigSV Click here to listen https://lnkd.in/gEgdunb8 or watch the video on YouTube https://lnkd.in/gzrSFide. • Do you think of SELL as a bad, four-letter word? If you struggle to sell without feeling pushy or salesy, you're not alone—I see it plague many of the founders I work with. We launch our great product and then avoid selling because of the fear of rejection, imposter syndrome, or discomfort around "taking" money. But selling is not about taking—it's about offering value, creating connections, and building trust with your audience. It's a beautiful, reciprocal process that can feel abundant and joyful. In this episode, I'm sharing the S-E-L-L framework—how to share your story, educate with enthusiasm, lead with value, and love your offers—so you can confidently sell in a way that feels natural and authentic. • The path to success in the CPG world is paved with tons of boring administrative work that I know you never imagined when you started a business! In today's podcast episode I talk with Tal Garden, founder of Tal’s Mediterranean who solved her own problem of delegating the paperwork, phone calls and other things she didn't like to a virtual assistant (VA). After creating a foundation for her VA to help her scale the biz, Tal started helping others delegate effectively and ended up creating a business to support food founders in retail with a team of virtual assistants called The Fun Hub. https://www.1funhub.com/ From managing chargebacks to maintaining shelf presence, Tal and Sari dive into why outsourcing the right tasks to industry-savvy VAs is a game-changer for any growing business. Whether you are ready to work with The Fun Hub or another VA service, or just want to start outsourcing a little bit of administrative duties to someone locally, there is a ton of great wisdom in this episode about how to delegate effectively! We also focus on this in Master Your Business https://masteryourbiz.co/ too - because you can't scale to $300K without the right kind of help!
