Bayer CEO Bill Anderson, Head of Africa Debra Mallowah, Supervisory Board member and former executive director of the World Food Programme Ertharin Cousin, President of the Republic of Zambia Hakainde Hichilema, German Ambassador to Zambia Anne Wagner-Mitchell, Zambian Minister of Agriculture Reuben Mtolo, and many others traveled to Kabwe, Zambia this week for the opening of our seed processing facility, named Bayer Itaba. This 32-million-euro investment is the second-largest investment in Zambia ever by a German company, and will ensure that Zambian farmers are equipped with high-quality hybrid maize seed that will help them produce more and optimize farm productivity.
