Thanks to WRGB CBS6 & Tom Eschen for having our Executive Director, Natasha Pernicka on Power & Politics to discuss the increased demand food pantries are working to meet, the continued effects of food inflation on consumers and food pantries, and the need for increased food and nutrition support to be a priority for State and Federal policymakers. https://lnkd.in/gNBTGGUg

Congratulations Dr. Cynthia Bott, Sarah Toledano & Alyssa Blanco! Thank you so much for your interest in this topic, and for sharing your time and expertise. Can't wait to see this in print! 👏👏👏
Celebrating the acceptance of our article on the characteristics of home delivery pantry consumers. Sarah Toledano Alyssa Blanco and The Food Pantries for the Capital District This organization does tremendous work. I’m very conscious of the fact that there are people out there who struggle to put food on the table who graciously shared there insight and time with us for the interviews. Respect. Natasha Pernicka

Thank you Paul Hook and Our Hour!!! What a great opportunity to celebrate Miriam Dushane, PHR, SHRM-CP's 50th birthday and help Alaant Workforce Solutions raise money for the Fill the Truck Challenge in support of local food pantries! Tonight (Thursday) from 4-7pm at 110 Latham Grill. RSVP here: https://lnkd.in/eSGha32u
Due to Thanksgiving falling on the last week of November, you’d THINK that would wipe out any chances of enjoying an Our Hour Happy Hour in November. You thought wrong! We’ve got you covered. Anyone who missed last week’s joint session with Denise Horan’s Sales Club USA: Weekender’s Club at TORO missed a good one. But we have another chance for you to enjoy cocktails and company in the penultimate month of the calendar year. We’re happy to bring back Our Hour for a Cause as we help the folks at Alaant Workforce Solutions raise funds to “Fill the Truck” for The Food Pantries for the Capital District. And there’s a special bonus - c’mon out to celebrate Alaant’s managing director’s birthday - happy big 5-0 to Miriam Dushane, PHR, SHRM-CP! This is all going down at the 110 Grill in Latham (664 Loudon Road), running from 4 pm to 7 pm. Please RSVP for this one: https://lnkd.in/gvVVaUw9 Can’t make it but still want to help? Scan the QR code on the Eventbrite page to donate. See you next week! #FundraisingEvent #LathamEvents #LathamNetworking #HappyHour
Cheers to Miriam’s 50th! Happy Hour Celebration & Fundraiser with Alaant

We had a great time yesterday at the Wellness Fair at the Ohav Shalom Apartments in Albany! Our interns Nana Serbeh (University at Albany School of Public Health) and Anahi Garcia (Siena College) did an excellent job sharing information on local food pantries and other resources, and distributing fresh produce to Ohav Shalom residents!
