Food for Thought strives to create a community where the hunger for food, respect, and belonging is met for all people.

Food For Thought is a local nonprofit organization serving the Toledo and Oregon communities through multiple avenues. Beginning as a small Saturday morning gathering, Food For Thought now serves sack lunches, including their famous PB&J, to around 250 individuals every Saturday morning in downtown Toledo. Our choice mobile food pantries allows us to serve over 400 families per month by providing a variety of shelf stable and fresh food items. EverDry Waterproofing, one of our amazing corporate partners, made 250 PB&J lunches in less than 26 minutes! These lunches were given to the Toledo Lucas County Homelessness Board to aid in their recent PIT count which helps connect people experiencing homelessness with needed resources. Thank you, EverDry, for your ongoing support of our mission to feed those in need!

An amazing group from REFIT Fitness joined us last weekend to help pack lunches on Friday and pass them out on Saturday. This group believes in the power of community and that EVERYBODY belongs! They spent time talking with and encouraging patrons while handing out lunches and even shared some of their own personal stories. Thank you, REFIT, for your support and incredible service!
