He's successfully launched startups and managed large regions for billion-dollar organizations. In the restaurant world, Rick's expertise shines in concept development, branding, fundraising, and operations. He's opened 12 restaurants in the U.S. and abroad, including notable establishments like 5 Ninth and Fatty Crab, all earning rave reviews from The New York Times (including 2-star reviews from three New York Times reviewers and 12 New York Times stars in total). Recognized with the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand award for two concepts, Rick's industry influence extends beyond management. He's the Executive Director of Industry Relations for the Institute of Culinary Education (after being dean of the management programs for 4 years), been a guest lecturer, judge on network TV, and served as a director for the New York State Restaurant Association.??He’s currently an active hospitality consultant.
