IT'S OFFICIAL ?? The Foley Police Department swore four officers into our Patrol Division. Ofc. M. Fraser Ofc. J. Smithey Ofc. A. Owen Ofc. C. Neelly Welcome aboard! We're excited for this new journey you're about to begin with Foley PD!

In mid-February, Foley PD held our Annual Meeting, a department-wide meeting where we reflect on the major events of 2024, recognize the outstanding contributions of our employees, and honor those who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, vigilance, and service to our community. It is with great pride that we announce the 2024 Employees of the Year, both of whom were selected for their unwavering positive attitudes and exemplary work ethic: Officer of the Year – Cpl. Erik Morris Public Servant Employee of the Year – SST Gary Johnson Additionally, we took this opportunity to recognize the achievements of officers who received a promotion in 2024. A week ago today, our newest officers graduated the Mobile Police Academy! Ofc. Fraser, Ofc. Neelly, and Ofc. Smithey endured 15 weeks of physical and mental training to prepare them for the road. We're very proud of the hard work they put into their time in Mobile, and we're eager to watch them grow with our department. Congratulations, Officers! ????????♂?

It was the perfect weather for a little chili this weekend and a few of our officers made quite the batch according to all of you! Sgt. Perdue, Ofc. Hill, and SST Stiff took second place representing Foley PD in the Kiwani’s Chili Cookoff. They’ve been tweaking their recipe for a few weeks now and the hard work definitely paid off! Way to go boys! ??

To know our School Resource Officers is to love them. Our SROs are some of the most caring, selfless, and outgoing people you’ll ever meet. They truly want what’s best for the children of Foley and will do anything to keep them safe. We appreciate you each and every day Sgt. Nicely, Cpl. Cruze, Ofc. Brettel, Ofc. Williams, Ofc. Erwin, Ofc. Mothershed, and, newly named SRO, Ofc. Gandrup! Your determination to help build, develop, and protect our next generation does not go unnoticed! Congratulations to Sergeant B. Perdue for graduating from the National Command and Staff College this afternoon. This leadership school requires 240 hours of graduate level course work and a 2-week residency. While going through this process, Sgt. Perdue and his team earned the Capstone Research Award for excellence in their final research project. We are so proud of Sgt. Perdue! We're eager to see you continue to grow in your career with us!

Well this is a first for most of us! The most snow the city of Foley has seen in over 50 years and our officers made sure to take advantage of it! ?? There’s truly SNOW place like home. ??

IT'S OFFICIAL! ?? The judge swore in our newest officer at Foley PD, Officer T. Miller! Ofc. Miller graduated from the Mobile Police Academy in late October and has been going through his FTO ever since. Since being hired by our department, Ofc. Miller has been nothing but hard working, respectful, and determined to succeed. We are excited for your future with us Officer Miller!
