Junior Scientist and PhD student Matthias Br?nner recently co-authored a paper titled, “???????????????? ?????????? ???????????????????????? ???? 1?? ?????????????????? ?????????????????????? ?????????????? ?????? ???????? ????????????????,” which was published in the AIP Publishing’s Physics of Plasmas Journal. In the paper, the authors: ?? Adapted a widely used technique from the field of Data Science called Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for the purpose of optimizing laser fusion energy target designs ?? Identified a useful objective function to achieve an isochoric, or constant density, profile for proton fast ignition, as an example ? ??
