More challenging times require us to rethink our approach...
We can’t do what we used to do…. That’s pretty much the thought in my head every morning when we wake up and walk into our kitchen (currently undergoing a small renovation). It’s been almost 2 weeks…and we can’t do the things we are used to doing. Or at least not in the way we would like. Cooking, meal prep… all of it had to be rethought so we can try and live our normal lives. And this is not too dissimilar to what the real estate industry has been going through. We can’t simply do the things we used to do. At least not with the expectation of the same kind of results. More challenging times require us to rethink our approach (or at the very least, try and add new tools to our basket which, by the way, if you’re keeping your tools in a basket, you’re already doing things wrong. That much I have learned from this renovation). Whether it’s new marketing creative & messaging, new digital platforms, new strategies, new tech - now is the time to be proactive and take aggressive action. A great example of that that is what Craig Wheeler and his team at Destination Realty did this past weekend. A marketing campaign that sold 25 homesites in a single day. Yes, it was five months of work leading up to that single day, but it was a creative campaign that took a stalled project and turned it into a hot commodity. We have a few strategies and enhancements to our process that are yielding success as well (behavioral-based lead gen, texting automations, affinity campaigns, video emails, etc).
