On Wednesday, 2/26, Focal Point had the pleasure of being an industry partner by hosting a combined Facility Tour and #JobShadowDay for Hubbard High School students. This program, facilitated through #CareerLaunchChicago, an innovative workforce development initiative led by the City Colleges of Chicago aims to provide young individuals with invaluable insights into modern manufacturing environments and potential career paths. The day’s agenda featured a #Safety overview, followed by a Facility Tour, job shadowing in Fabrication, and an Engineering Overview. Through this #CommunityEngagement, we are highlighting our commitment to #education and local workforce development. #PROJECTOFTHEMONTH The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine transformed a 4,300 square-foot classroom area into a modern auditorium-style lecture hall. This renovation repurposed storage, A/V control, and hallway spaces to create an upgraded educational environment tailored to the evolving needs of the campus. The lecture hall combines Seem 1 Acoustic Louver Direct and Unlit baffles, arranged in continuous runs, parallel to the width of the room across the ceiling. The acoustic baffles effectively manage reverberation levels, ensuring clarity for lecturers while maintaining a comfortable auditory and visual experience for students. The deeply regressed louvers provide glare-free lighting, especially well-suited for the environment. We had a great time at the Inspiration Corporation Sandwich Making Event on February 25th.?? Because of our team's generosity and hard work, we were able to prepare 120 essential meals for Chicagoans facing barriers such as homelessness and poverty. Their willingness to lend a helping hand and dedication to our community are truly inspiring.??
