FNBC is proud to be a Champion Sponsor this year for The CALL in Sharp County. Today, Sharp County has 30 children in foster care and only 4 traditional foster care homes licensed to care for those children. That means 20 local children in care are being housed outside of Sharp County. This statistic - 30 children and 4 houses - makes Sharp County a county in crisis. The CALL is a statewide non-profit that launched a local Sharp County affiliate in early 2024 and has been hard at work supporting existing foster homes and children in care, as well as recruiting more local homes.
