Last week, the Leadership FMWF class stepped beyond the classroom and into the heart of state government, gaining firsthand experience in leadership and public policy work at the North Dakota Capitol. By attending committee hearings, engaging in a candid discussion with Gov. Kelly Armstrong and observing the legislative process in action, participants saw how policy decisions directly impact their industries and communities. This immersive experience reflects a core value of Leadership FMWF—equipping emerging leaders with the knowledge, connections, and perspective needed to drive real change in our region.

Perham Senior High School senior, Logan Wood, is proving that career success can start before graduation! ?? Thanks to the Good Jobs Challenge (GJC) program, Logan earned his commercial driver's license (CDL) while still in high school, setting himself up for a bright future in the transportation industry. The GJC program offers students like Logan financial support to help them gain valuable skills and certifications, preparing them for in-demand careers even before earning their diploma. This hands-on approach is reshaping how students approach workforce development, providing a direct pathway from education to employment.
