We are fortunate to be based out of beautiful upstate New York. Our main campus is just 30 minutes North of Albany! A special thank you to Ben Rekemeyer for sharing these fall photos of the Twin Bridges.
Not throwing it too far back this week – but when we received these stunning images of the Twin Bridges from local photographer Ben Rekemeyer, we couldn't help but reflect on this 2013 milestone. Fort Miller was proud to play a pivotal role in the Thaddeus Kosciusko Bridge (Twin Bridges) rehabilitation, supplying 236 lightweight precast concrete elements and developing a custom high-performance mix that enhanced load capacity and accelerated installation. This lightweight design strengthened the bridge while helping NYSDOT’s Accelerated Bridge Construction Program minimize lane closures and reduce commuter impact. Hats off to our talented team for their dedication to quality and innovation on this critical project! And a shoutout to project partners The Lane Construction Corporation and Norlite Corporation for trusting Fort Miller to help bring it all together. On this Memorial Day, Fort Miller Group honors the courageous men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. We extend our deepest gratitude to their families and pledge to uphold the values of freedom and unity they fought to protect. The image below, taken from a project by our sister company Scott System (a division of Access Anvil Corp.), showcases custom concrete formliners used to memorialize military photos on a concrete wall. This lasting impression was created using grooves with varying depths and widths custom cut on our 5-axis CNC Milling machine. #MemorialDay #HonoringTheFallen

Opening Day at Yankee Stadium is a time to celebrate not only the game of baseball but also the infrastructure that supports it. As we kick off another exciting season, we are reminded of a project we worked on in 2008 with Halmar International: The Pedestrian Walkway at Yankees Station, where the team's dedication to innovation and quality hit a home run. Fort Miller Precast (The Fort Miller Co., Inc.)'s concrete panels provide a sturdy walkway for fans and community members and prefabricated bridge units seamlessly connect the train station to the stadium. Proud to have contributed to projects that bring communities together and make game day accessible for all. Let's make this season one to remember! ???? #OpeningDay #Yankees #Infrastructure #Community #FanExperience Learn more about this project on Fort Miller Precast (The Fort Miller Co., Inc.)'s website.

We've teamed up with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and their Center for Architecture Science and Ecology (CASE) to nurture the future of the built environment through education, research, and innovation. Our research team's project was handpicked for the prestigious Governor's Island Pilot Program. As part of the inaugural Climate Solutions Challenge by the Trust for Governors Island, we're gearing up to make waves with our innovative approach to urban climate solutions. Led by Marcus Carter, an assistant professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a founding partner at OBJECT TERRITORIES, our team is set to pilot a groundbreaking iteration of Inter-tidal Objects.
