?? Member Spotlight: Haley Baker! ?? Haley Baker has been one of our most dedicated and active members this semester, consistently showing growth and leadership. As a valued member of the Treasury Committee, she has made huge contributions and has shown a deep commitment to the overall success of FMA. In her work with the committee, Haley has played a crucial role in planning and executing fundraisers, helping us achieve our goals. This week, she will be co-hosting the Excel workshop. With her friendly and approachable demeanor, Haley has become a familiar and welcoming face within FMA, earning the respect and admiration of her peers. Her ongoing dedication continues to have a positive impact on our community.

This past week, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the 2025 Finance Leaders’ Conference in New York City! ???? We gained valuable insights on AI in finance, fintech innovations, real estate trends, and professional certifications while networking with industry leaders and like-minded peers. Hearing from experts across different areas of finance was truly inspiring, and we’re excited to apply what we’ve learned. A huge thank you to Baruch College for hosting this event and to all the professionals who shared their expertise. On February 18th, we had the pleasure of hosting Sydney Golub, Alma Lopez, and Damian Hilsaca from Walmart alongside other RSOs at the College of Business! As one of the world's largest companies, Walmart is not just a retail giant—it’s a leader in supply chain innovation, financial strategy, and corporate development. Our speakers shared valuable insights into Walmart’s financial operations and career opportunities, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how finance plays a key role in the company’s success. It was especially exciting to hear from them, as some of our very own FMA members have secured internships with Walmart, showing just how many amazing opportunities are available within the company. We’re incredibly grateful to Sydney, Alma, and Damian for taking the time to speak with us and provide guidance on how to navigate careers in corporate finance!

On February 12th, we had the pleasure of hosting Michael Kukich and Daniel Burke from AdventHealth’s finance department as our guest speakers! As one of the largest non-profit healthcare systems in the U.S., AdventHealth operates over 50 hospitals and hundreds of care facilities, managing billions in assets to ensure financial sustainability in the ever-evolving healthcare sector. Michael and Daniel provided incredible insight into finance careers within healthcare, emphasizing the critical role financial professionals play in managing hospital operations, investments, and strategic growth. They also highlighted AdventHealth’s internships and residency programs, which offer hands-on experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, and investment strategy. These programs provide a unique opportunity for students to gain industry knowledge, develop essential skills, and explore long-term career paths in one of the fastest-growing sectors in finance. We are incredibly grateful to Michael and Daniel for sharing their expertise and offering valuable career guidance.
