At Zipline, we want deliveries to feel effortless for customers—deliveries show up where you want them, and way faster than you're used to. But making that happen takes a lot of thought and collaboration behind the scenes. Our design and engineering teams work together to carefully consider every little detail, from how a pizza is packaged to how a droid is loaded. Join us Wednesday, November 20th at 1:30 PM PT for a behind-the-scenes look with industrial designer Kieran Moriarty and lead droid engineer Stephen Killian at how we make it all come together. Transforming the way goods move
关于我们
Zipline was founded to create the first logistics system that serves all humans equally. Our aim is to solve the world’s most urgent and complex access challenges. Leveraging expertise in robotics and autonomy, Zipline designs, manufactures and operates the world’s largest automated delivery system. Zipline serves tens of millions of people around the world and is making good on the promise of building an equitable and more resilient global supply chain. From powering Rwanda’s national blood delivery network and Ghana’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution, to providing on-demand home delivery for Walmart and enabling leading healthcare providers to bring care into the home in the United States, Zipline is transforming the way goods move. By transitioning to clean, electric, instant logistics, we can decarbonize delivery, decrease road congestion, and reduce fossil fuel consumption and air pollution, while providing equitable access for billions of people. The technology is complex but the idea is simple: a teleportation service that delivers what you need, when you need it. Zipline is inspiring people, governments, and businesses to imagine what is possible when goods can move as seamlessly as information. Demand for restaurant delivery is only going up, creating new opportunities to meet customer expectations for faster, more reliable service. To keep up, 60% of restaurants are turning to technology, using advanced order management systems, real-time tracking, and automation-driven logistics to streamline operations. Yet, despite these innovations, many challenges remain in last-mile delivery—and even more so in the final yard. Third-party apps often fall short in addressing these issues. That’s where Zips come in. Zipline’s drone delivery network offers a unique solution by: - Bypassing traffic - Increasing back-of-house efficiency - Meeting customer expectations for consistent, reliable delivery Read our analysis of the challenges restaurants face in increasing customer satisfaction—and discover how Zipline’s drone delivery network offers a solution to overcome them. https://bit.ly/3NTSsgA

Q: So, what happens when different companies have their aircraft flying autonomously in the same airspace? A: Uncrewed Traffic Management (UTM) happens. We’re working to make universal software so that our Zips and other drones can talk to each other in the sky. We’re at this week’s Global UTM Association (GUTMA)’s Harmonized Skies conference in Dallas, meeting up with fellow operators, plus the FAA and other civil regulatory agencies. If you’re in town, make sure to catch Chris Lyons's panel tomorrow plus live demos of our tech. TL;DR: We demonstrate our dedication to safety ?? FAA monitors performance, lets us keep innovating, and everybody wins. #HarmonizedSkies2024

This week’s #COP29 reinforced our moral duty to rapidly reduce emissions and preserve our planet. That’s why we’re reinventing how we deliver vital medical supplies and everyday goods using drones—society can’t keep relying on personal taxis to deliver pizzas. There is a better way. 69% of consumers are likely to order sustainable food options. Millennials and Gen Z, in particular, are even willing to pay an average of 20% more for sustainable meals. Drone deliveries significantly cut down on carbon emissions and open up new opportunities for zero-waste kitchens that aren’t possible when relying on traditional delivery methods.

75% of Rwanda’s blood supply, outside of the capital, was delivered by Zipline as of 2019. And it all started with people: Rwandan president Paul Kagame decided to try something with Zipline’s cofounders, Keller Rinaudo Cliffton and Keenan Wyrobek. Today, with 4 billion people lacking easy access to healthcare around the world, Zipline’s mission is more crucial—and its drones are more far-reaching—than ever. Our journey to building the world's largest autonomous logistics network was not without its hurdles. Failure often seemed more likely than success—which happens all too often in global health, where even well-funded innovations can falter by stopping too early, ignoring reality, or failing to scale. In this Stanford Social Innovation Review article written with Christian Seelos and Johanna Mair, we reflect on the past decade of building and driving adoption of new technology, against some pretty significant odds. We hope our experience—fueled by our “stubborn fanaticism” and unwillingness to fail—can offer lessons to help others bring new solutions to market effectively. https://bit.ly/4hxXqNA
