Nearly 1 million people in the U.S. are living with Parkinson's disease (PD). This number is expected to rise to 1.2 million by 2030. There are now 2.8 million people worldwide who have Multiple Sclerosis (MS), according to the most extensive global study to date. That means every 5 minutes, someone, somewhere in the world is diagnosed with MS. According to a 2023 report, the prevalence of ALS in the United States is about?9.1 cases per 100,000 people. EXPENSES & EFFORT related to Caregiving: Approximately 5-7 million caregivers in the U.S. (about 15% of all caregivers) are long-distance caregivers. Such caregivers are more likely to report emotional distress (47%). Nearly 7 million long-distance caregivers make work and personal sacrifices. Long-distance caregivers have the highest annual expenses (about $8,728) compared to co-resident caregivers (about $5,885) or those who care for a loved one nearby (about $4,570). Parrots definitely will reduce these expenses and alleviate caregiving experiences drastically as a lot of caregiver responsibilities are tactfully handled by it even if the Caregiver is far away with highest level of accuracy of the Patient's actions, health changes. Caregivers report holding significant decision-making authority which puts caregivers in a very critical situation, such situations are not desirable by many. However, with Parrot’s intelligent AI based tracking & communication features, a lot of below mentioned responsibilities can be taken care of. Caregivers/Doctors will be informed of every action, any change in the patient’s health condition immediately. #accessibilitymatters #humancentreddesign #usercentricdesign #disability #innovatewithpurpose #artificialintelligence David Hojah Priyanka Ray Barua Hannah (Han) Jiang

WHY IS PARROTS SO IMPORTANT FOR HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY TODAY? The value of services provided by informal caregivers has steadily increased over the last decade! The majority of caregivers (82%) care for one other adult, while 15% care for 2 adults, and 3% for 3 or more adults. Many caregivers of older adults are themselves growing older. The average caregiver of a recipient 65 years of age or older is 63 years old. Of these caregivers, one third report being in fair to poor health. 46% of Americans ages 75 and older and 24% of those ages 65 to 74 report having a disability, according to estimates from?the Census Bureau’s 2021 American Community Survey?(ACS) in 2023. A majority of this section are people who rely on technology for running their daily chores and trying to live an independent life. * 4.8 percent of U.S. adults have a vision disability. * 12.8 percent of U.S. adults have a cognition disability. * 7.2 percent of U.S. adults have an independent living disability with difficulty doing errands alone. Also, there is an acute shortage of nursing assistants & care givers today and there is a limit to how much a third person can assist you. “Experts warn that this labor problem portends even worse difficulties as America’s senior population swells to 88 million people in 2050, up from 48 million today and requires more assistance with chronic health conditions and disabilities.”- Washington Post. This is where Parrots can act like a savior! Parrots can be customized and operated by hospitals, institutes, caregivers according to their requirement to reduce workload and increase efficiency. Health workers will be able to support more patients and provide immediate attention if needed. With the huge leap in advanced technologies like as?digital/virtual assistants,?generative?AI, we are committed to creating a product like parrots which fills this gap and provides the disabled community with a 24*7 buddy which assists them in every possible task of the day meanwhile making sure they’re safe.? #accessibility #servingthecommunity #differentlyabled #ai #usercentricdesign #problemsolving #healthcare #Innovation?#TechCommunity?#ParrotsInc?David Hojah?Priyanka Ray Barua?Hannah (Han) Jiang
