Last week, we met 2 students approaching 60 hours with No Solo Time. Students not only need an “endorsement” to Solo...they need someone they trust telling them, “You are ready. Go solo.” During an interview, both students demonstrated the skill and knowledge required to Solo. They even had their Solo endorsements, but their instructors weren’t getting out of the plane. Listening intently, it became very clear that two things were holding them back: ?? A toxic system that benefits those in power at the expense of students. ??
