Big news for Thanksgiving travel next week! ???? We are ready to welcome a record-breaking 225,000 passengers during the holiday travel period, marking a nearly 6% increase over last year. It’s another milestone that shows how ONT continues to rise as Southern California’s airport of choice. As we prepare for this record-breaking holiday period, here are a few tips for a smooth journey: ?? Arrive at least 2 hours before your flight, especially for morning departures. Security wait times are likely to reach 30+ minutes during busier periods. ?? Peak times at Terminal 2 (4 - 7 a.m.) may experience longer wait times. Please plan accordingly & take advantage of pre-booking self or valet parking to minimize last minute plans. ? Take advantage of programs like TSA PreCheck and Clear to get you through screening faster. Thank you to all the travelers who continue to choose ONT! Remember that record-setting September we had? Well it turns out we soared even higher in October, with the highest number of travelers ONT has ever seen during the fall month! ???? We had 642,853 travelers in October — 6% more than during the same month last year. That marked our 44th straight month of year-over-year increases, with ONT on track to surpass 7 million passengers this year. ONT also saw cargo numbers jump by a whopping 32% in October, with levels reminiscent of the pandemic-fueled surge of 2020. “The Inland Empire is a business hub for the region, with a growing population base,” CEO Atif Elkadi said. “The word is out that Ontario International Airport is the airport of choice in Southern California." The countdown is on to snag early bird prices for our third annual 5K at the Runway, coming February 8, 2025! ??♀??? Now through December 14th, it's just $50 to register for the 5K and $20 to sign up for the family walk, which both start at the National Guard Hangar and continue alongside our south runway. Fees will go up by $5 on December 15th and by another $5 for same-day registration — if slots are still available! A portion of the proceeds from this event will help support our USO, which is the third largest USO in the country and processes thousands of service members each year. This year, we donated $32,000 to the USO from this event! There will also be a free community event from 9 to 11 a.m. that’s open to participants and the community at large, with booths, food trucks, face painters and more.
