In 1918, George Hansburg introduced America to the pogo stick and opened the original pogo stick company. In the early 1920’s Hansburg brought his pogo stick to his friend, Florenz Ziegfeld of the world-famous Ziegfeld Follies. Ziegfeld, the eminent Broadway impresario of the day, immediately choreographed a pogo routine into his show. The Follies made pogo sticking the latest craze. Hansburg made the pogo stick his passion and continued innovating in pogos. To revitalize the pogo craze, Hansburg set out to reinvent the quality, durability and fun of the pogo stick. His 1957 US patent for the “MASTER” pogo stick, shows the now iconic curved handle and dual supporting bars. In the late 50’s and early 60’s, Hansburg did indeed recreate that craze with the “MASTER” pogo stick. Hansburg’s original pogo stick company changed hands in the 70’s but remained equally committed and passionate about pogo sticks. They persistently improved on the pogo stick. It was this quest that ultimately lead to the development of the "Flybar" in 2000. The Flybar used patented technology of Elastomeric Thrusters. These thick rubber thruster bars could be selectively engaged to create the right bounce based on weight and ability. The Flybar created a comfortable BIG bounce that replicated the feel of a trampoline. But, what the Flybar really created was the extreme pogo sport, and pogoing never looked the same again. We are still passionate about pogos after 99 years, and are proud that Flybar pogos are “the standard by which all pogos are measured”. From innovating the extreme pogo, introducing pogo interactivity, to continuously supporting pogo sports & pogo health around the globe, Flybar continues to be the world’s leading pogo stick company. But Flybar today is not just pogos. New products for toddlers, stilts, gear, and skateboards are all designed and developed with the passion and innovation George Hansburg first demonstrated nearly 100 years ago. Flybar, Since 1918

Imagine walking into a store with your child. They spot a pogo stick, eyes lighting up, and it’s only $10. Seems unreal, right? But in 1972, that was possible! We recently uncovered an old Flybar price list, where wholesalers were grabbing pogos for under $3. As a company over 100 years old, we’ve seen a lot of change. Today, inflation, tariffs, and rising costs have reshaped pricing, but one thing hasn’t changed: Flybar's commitment to creating quality toys that keep kids moving and having fun. How do you think we’ll look back at today’s prices in 50 years? #Flybar #ToyIndustry #PricingHistory #Inflation #FlashbackFriday

CEO Saul Wolhendler Addresses President Trump on Tariffs Our CEO shares how recent tariff increases are impacting small businesses like ours. From rising product costs to canceled orders, these changes are creating financial strain and uncertainty for companies working hard to grow and compete. Check out his post to see why we need stable policies for local growth. #SmallBusiness #Tariffs #BusinessChallenges #SupportLocal
Dear President Trump, The people have spoken, and we looked forward to your leadership in making America great again. But as a small business owner, I want to share how your tariff policies are hurting the very people they aim to support. I am the CEO of a small toy company. Like many others, we manufacture in China—not by choice, but because it has the infrastructure, materials, and expertise to produce toys efficiently and safely. When you announced a 10% tariff, we scrambled. We pushed back on factories, negotiated concessions, and worked with retailers. But then, without warning, you raised it to 20%. How can any company absorb a 20% cost increase? Most consumer product businesses don’t even have a 20% EBITDA margin. The reality on the ground: ?? Retailers are reconsidering commitments. A $19.99 product moving to $24.99 doesn’t just shrink margins—it slashes volume. ?? Orders are being canceled. Major retailer's are backing out of orders ready to ship, leaving us with unsold inventory and financial strain. ?? China-based sellers are exploiting the system. While U.S. businesses struggle, overseas sellers circumvent tariffs and keep prices low, putting American companies at a major disadvantage. ?? Employees feel the impact. No bonuses. Hiring freezes. Increased costs everywhere. This hurts American workers. ?? Moving production isn’t a solution. Your threats of reciprocal tariffs put us in limbo. Do we invest in another country, only to face new tariffs? Moving production to the U.S. isn’t realistic—small businesses don’t have the volume, banks aren’t lending, and the workforce isn’t set up for piecework manufacturing. Meanwhile, there’s been no federal support to help U.S. businesses produce here. And let’s talk about M&A. Uncertainty kills deal-making. Small businesses thrive on stability, but investment and growth are grinding to a halt because we can’t plan for profitability. Mr. President, I understand the intent behind these tariffs, but I urge you to look closer at the unintended consequences. These policies are meant to strengthen American businesses, yet they are creating a ripple effect that weakens them—and ultimately hurts the American consumer. Small businesses are the backbone of this economy. We need policies that protect our ability to compete and grow, not ones that put us at an unfair disadvantage. Thank You Saul W.
