John Kinney has been appointed by the City of Loveland and City of Fort Collins as the Director of the Northern Colorado Regional Airport following a national search.?Kinney will assume his new role on Tuesday, Nov. 12. As the Airport Director, Kinney will oversee the daily operations, planning, development, and maintenance of the airport, ensuring compliance with regulations from both cities, the TSA, and the FAA. Kinney brings over 30 years of dedicated service in aviation management and leadership to his new role. He has overseen operations and emergency management at major airports including Denver International and Los Angeles International. He also brings local experience from regional airports including Aspen and, most recently, Boulder. ? Welcome to Northern Colorado Regional Airport, John!

???? Did you know that Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) requires specialized certification and training? LFRA is proud to host our bi-annual FAA-required training for our ARFF certified members and crews, including our mutual aid partners from Poudre Fire Authority and Windsor Severance Fire Rescue. Emergency response at Northern Colorado Regional Airport is a collaborative effort, and our training has expanded to include expert instruction from NoCo Regional Airport operations staff, Jet Center fixed-based operator staff, and our local pilots. It was great having Senator Hickenlooper and Congressman Lopez visit Northern Colorado Regional Airport this week! ?? Their tour of the Digital Tower, Terminal, and AIMS facilities highlighted exciting developments and new educational opportunities that will increase safety while improving air transportation for our region. ?? The airport is currently hiring an Airport Facilities Maintenance Technician. The application will close Tuesday, August 13th at 3:00 P.M MT. Our Airport Facilities Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of repair, diagnostic, and preventive maintenance tasks for all Airport facilities. Their primary focus is HVAC, plumbing, construction/remodel projects, preventative maintenance, and building/life safety systems support.
