    Revolutionizing Energy Reuse and Efficiency

    It’s impossible to ignore the explosive growth of AI companies—and the massive expansion of their hardware footprints. The early winners understood the scaling laws that predicted incredible gains from more compute, and most are now doubling down on that path. This has led us straight into a textbook case of The Innovator’s Dilemma: the dominant players are racing to scale compute power and density as quickly as possible, which inevitably leads them to overlook disruptive technologies poised to displace them. One of the most overlooked yet fundamentally advantageous solutions is heat reuse. From a first-principles physics perspective, wasting perfectly usable temperature gradients makes little sense—yet that’s exactly what happens in traditional data centers. Instead of expending energy to dispose of excess heat, heat reuse companies repurpose it to warm water in homes, heat buildings, and even directly provide space heating. It’s hard to imagine a future where this approach doesn’t win out in some form. But timing is everything—because the ecological consequences of hyperscaling are dire. That’s why we’re (Flux Cap Energy Tech) thrilled to be developing partnerships with leafcloud and Deep Green to accelerate the mainstream adoption of this technology. Our symbiotic system goes one step further, reclaiming some of the heat as electricity before the rest is repurposed—pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in sustainable computing.     ?? Exciting news from last night's pitch event! ?? I had the incredible opportunity to pitch at the Berlin Brandenburg Business Angels event, where startups from the accelerator program were given a 1-minute pitch challenge for a chance to present a full 5-minute pitch alongside invited startups. I’m thrilled to share that we, Flux Cap Energy Tech, won the 1-minute pitch competition and had the chance to present our startup to a room full of investors! ???? The energy in the room was amazing, and I had some great conversations with investors who are excited about what we're building. We’re currently raising a €400K bridge round to extend our runway and accelerate growth, and I’m looking forward to continuing these discussions in the coming weeks. To tackle the problem of energy use, we’re taking a first-principles approach—breaking down assumptions and examining the issue from the ground up. ? From a physics perspective, the challenge is fundamental: entropy ensures that useful energy inevitably degrades into low-grade waste heat. This phenomenon is universal, affecting every industry and application: ?? Manufacturing | ?? Computing | ?? Transportation | ??♂? Even our own bodies So, how do we address this? ?? There are two main paths forward: ?? Heat Reuse: Instead of letting waste heat dissipate into the environment, we can redirect it to where it’s needed. Processes like manufacturing and computing produce substantial heat, which can be reused for applications like district heating ???, improving energy efficiency and reducing waste. ?? Innovating Power Generation: Traditional power generation often adheres to the limits imposed by Carnot’s law, which governs the efficiency of systems relying on heat-based volumetric expansion. But there’s more to explore: ?? The thermoelectric effect, for example, leverages material properties instead of mechanical cycles. While efficiency challenges remain, it opens doors to alternative approaches beyond conventional heat engines like ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle). ?? At FCET, we’ve identified novel physical effects that may offer breakthroughs, potentially surpassing ORC’s capabilities. These technologies are in active development, grounded in our commitment to challenging assumptions and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. By approaching these challenges with a first-principles mindset, we uncover opportunities for truly disruptive solutions—innovations that could redefine how we generate and use energy. ??
