Not sure how to showcase your organization's unique value to governments? ?? Our friends at Sanivation had the same question. While they had built strong partnerships across Africa, they wanted to refine their messaging to better connect with government entities and attract new clients. Our case team worked with them to figure it out. FLUSH Founder, Kimberly Worsham, MPA, MIWM, and The Missing Link - Global CEO, Merceline Ambiyo, took 3?? steps to help Sanivation improve its communications and engage with governments more effectively. ?? Happy World Plumbing Day! ???? Today, FLUSH invites you to celebrate by educating yourself on what happens when you... flush your toilet. ??Follow the link to our blog to discover how septic systems work: https://lnkd.in/gC_978Af Toilets generally follow the step-by-step process described in our blog - but a lot can go wrong. Nasty fatbergs, blockages, sewer backups, and many other issues can all stand in the way of a smooth bathroom break.???? The quiet superheroes who keep things flowing (literally) are #plumbing professionals, and we’re so grateful for them!?? Our team at FLUSH is happy to join the “Go Blue for Plumbing” challenge by the World Plumbing Council - enjoy the photo of our Founder, Kimberly Worsham, MPA, MIWM, and Associate, Poulomy Chakraborty, Ph.D., wearing blue. We encourage you to do the same: wear blue today and share a photo or video using #PlumbingisMore and #WorldPlumbingDay to raise awareness of the importance of plumbing. Are you with us? ????

Were the Ancient Romans really as hygienic as we think? ?? Roman public toilets were impressive for their time. They had a drainage system that used running water to flush waste away. This level of sanitation wouldn’t become common again in much of Europe for over a thousand years. But despite this, daily hygiene in Rome was far from ideal. ???? ??? Our Founder, Kimberly Worsham, MPA, MIWM, recently visited Ostia Antica to see ancient Roman toilets firsthand - read the blog to find out what she discovered: https://lnkd.in/ej3Zdm5r #ToiletTourism #OstiaAntica #AncientRome #PublicToilets #SanitationHistory?

As #BlackHistoryMonth comes to an end, we want to take a moment to appreciate Black inventors in sanitation who are shaping a new history of WASH every day. ?????? ? Jasmine K. Burton (Wish for WASH) is the designer of the affordable SafiChoo portable toilet that helps reduce the spread of WASH-related diseases in developing countries. ? Kweku Anno (BIOLOGICAL FILTERS AND COMPOSTERS (BIOFILCOM) LIMITED) is the creator of BioFil, a waste management system that works without the need for sewers or septic tanks, improving sanitation in underserved areas. ? Veronica Bekoe is the inventor of the Veronica Bucket, a simple hand-washing station designed to prevent the spread of communicable diseases and widely used to save lives across Africa. ? Adrienne Bennett is the first Black woman Master Plumber in the US who's leading the way for more Black women to enter male-dominated WASH careers. ? Moses West (Moses West Foundation) is the developer of a machine that turns moisture from the air into clean, drinkable water, making it accessible to people anywhere. ??
