Dr. Shakil obtained her medical degree from Dow Medical College, completed her Internal Medicine residency and Geriatric Medicine fellowship training at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, and Infectious Disease fellowship training at New York Presbyterian Hospital Queens. #MajorRenovation- Our newly renovated 2 North 1 Medical /Surgical unit recently opened! This beautifully finished, serene unit boasts all-new finishes in a soothing color palette. This is phase 1 of a major modernization project. What's next? We will fully renovate 2 North 2, the new home of our Cardiac Telemetry Unit. Congratulations to our Qualified Medical Interpreters #ClassOf2024 on their graduation! To become Qualified Medical Interpreters our graduates passed rigorous written and oral exams, demonstrating their knowledge of medical terminology and fluency in two languages or more. Queens is the most linguistically diverse region in the world, with approximately 800 languages spoken. We are proud that our newly qualified interpreters will assist our hospital in delivering high-quality healthcare to patients in their preferred languages.
