Back from a journey into the heart of resource diplomacy ???? Led by our CEO, a multidisciplinary team from FLS joined #PDAC2025 in Toronto last week. ? In a year when critical minerals and resource diplomacy dominate the headlines, the convention offered us the opportunity to (re)connect with customers, financial institutions, and policymakers to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and learn from one another on the latest trends, technologies, and innovations in the global mining sector. ? Countries are acutely aware of the strategic importance of their minerals (or lack thereof), and their presence at PDAC reflects the eagerness to attract investment and solidify their positions in the global market or to secure access to these minerals. ? As a technology and service provider, our message was clear: We are uniquely positioned to support more sustainable mining, higher performance, and to enable the training and upskilling of local communities. Moreover, we have a track record in working with customers on financing solutions, notably with the support of the Danish export credit agency EIFO who once again joined the FLS team for this year’s event. ? Today, on International Women’s Day 2025, FLSmidth celebrates the achievements of women worldwide and honours the contributions of our women colleagues, customers, suppliers and all those driving gender equity. In line with this year’s IWD theme, #AccelerateAction ?? we reflect on the progress we’ve made over the past year and share how we’re continuing to accelerate our actions.? In 2024: ?? We welcomed over 200 new women colleagues into our Mining business.? ?? We dedicated efforts to closing gender pay gaps and remain committed to ensuring fair and equitable pay through merit-based opportunities and career advancement.? ?? We launched targeted development programs to attract diverse talent and encourage more women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and the mining industry.? ?? We also strengthened our diversity and inclusion efforts, addressing the unique challenges faced by our women employees to help remove roadblocks to their success.? ?? We had 80 women colleagues take on more challenging roles or advance their positions within the company. Although we are making progress, we acknowledge that there is still more to do, so we remain steadfast in our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. To the women who inspire us daily with their strength, resilience, and determination—thank you. ?? Exciting News from #PDAC2025 this week! ? We are pleased to announce the signing of a Strategic Cooperation Agreement between UzTMK (Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex) and FLS. ? This partnership focuses on rare earth metals and other critical minerals essential to the energy, tech and defense industries and should support the global ambitions to secure access to these resources. ? We will cooperate in the fields of mineral processing development, scientific research as well as in training and upskilling. ? Based on FLS’ unique expertise in mineral processing and innovative solutions tailored to the local conditions, we will enhance UzTMK's strong production capabilities. ? February might be short on days, but it’s big on wins at FLSmidth. We’re celebrating the trust of a long-time customer in India that has awarded FLSmidth the largest single order of steel media tower mills in the world! ?? These mills, together with our large high-pressure grinding rolls recently ordered by the same customer, will drive significant productivity improvements for the Indian mining company. Our global leadership in energy-efficient grinding technology is on full display and we couldn’t be prouder! What a day, what an achievement: this surely calls for a celebration ?? Today we have published our 2024 Annual Report. And this is not just any report; it’s a first of its kind, for us at least! This is our first integrated Annual Report reflecting EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and in addition we have also facelifted the design. ?? Our customers are at the centre of all we do and this year we'll get even closer to them with the opening or expansion of seven mining service centres in strategic locations globally! ? In 2025, FLSmidth will open or expand service centres in Ghana, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Brazil, Kazakhstan and Mongolia. For customers, it means shortened operational down time thanks to our closer proximity to?mine sites and greater availability of spare and wear parts. ?
