Macy Jonsson has been a extraordinarily valuable addition to the Flowfold team as one of our summer interns this year. She was very hands on, learning how to operate our computerized cutting tables and many other aspects of the production and sewing process. The majority of bags and wallets manufactured the last few months have been made in part by Macy! Wishing her an amazing year ahead at Colby…we’ll be keeping an eye out for all of the exciting things she does in the future!

All of us at Flowfold have thoroughly enjoyed having Kaylee Feeney on board as one of our interns this year, in generous partnership with Innovate for Maine and University of Maine. Kaylee took on the challenge of creating new product videos with amazing results that we are excited to put to work on our website and social media. We wish her much continued success at Tufts this fall and all of the exciting things that lay ahead for her beyond!

When our friends at BerryDunn reached out to us several months ago to design a custom collection of employee bags to mark the occasion, we enthusiastically said "YES!" We were thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with them on this exciting project, especially since both Maine companies share many of the same core values. Our team at Flowfold spent the last few months handcrafting each of the 1,000 bags with great pride and craftsmanship, knowing that they would be one-of-a-kind keepsakes for all of the folks at BerryDunn as they celebrate such an incredible milestone. Wishing them many more years of continued success!

Flowfold is thrilled to share that our Optimist 10L Daypack was recently named one of the *TOP TEN* Packable Backpacks for Minimalist Travel by Pack Hacker, a leading gear review channel! This is one of our original backpacks, which continues to be a bestseller since its launch in 2016. It proves that our commitment to minimalist, timeless design never goes out of style.

It's official! After many months of planning, Flowfold is thrilled to announce our new exclusive partnership with Japan distributor, Alco International LTD. This deal will make Flowfold products available throughout Japan in both the retail and wholesale market. It all began with an introduction at the Outdoor Retailer Summer show last June in Salt Lake City. Since then we have worked diligently with Alco to create an entire line of Flowfold gear curated specifically for the Japanese market. Alco has already generated huge success for the Flowfold Japan product line by exhibiting at key wholesale trade shows in Tokyo and Osaka. This week Alco launched our Flowfold Japan website for direct to consumer sales and Flowfold Japan (@flowfold_jp) on Instagram for social promotion. We're just getting started and have many exciting things to come. Huge thanks to Abigail Gray at Maine International Trade Center for providing guidance and sharing key contacts as we have worked through this process. Flowfold is thrilled to announce a second exclusive collaboration with Maine artist Sarah Madeira Day. This one inspired by her interpretation of the classic rose. Sarah believes that art is an everyday luxury that everyone should have in their everyday lives. She’s now taking that theory a step further with this partnership. We transferred Sarah’s beautiful work to our signature EcoPak fabric. That one-of-a-kind 100% recycled fabric was then used to reimagine some of Flowfold’s bestselling products and even a new tote design. This allows everyone the opportunity to experience Sarah’s art in a whole new way, in the form of handcrafted bags that we all can use and enjoy in our daily lives.
