Exciting news!?? On February 19th and 20th, the FLOW project held its General Assembly at the Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico - RSE SpA facilities in Milan, where our project partners shared updates on six months of intensive progress! The meeting agenda focused on key updates and advancements in #V2X (Vehicle-to-everything) technologies, with highlights including: ? Work Package Updates: reviewing progress across all work areas. ??User interface workshop: improving the usability of smart charging apps through user-centered design and interactive testing. ?? Visit to RSE SpA Living Labs: exploring advanced research on #battery testing, #thermal and electric systems, #superconductors, and more. ?? Key exploitable results workshop: defining exploitation pathways for impactful outcomes. ?? Market regulation & policies workshop – Addressing regulatory challenges and market readiness. On February 19th, the FLOW Project workshop left us with some great learnings on prototyping and user experience in electric mobility. Thank you Bettina K?mpfe and Madlen Günther from Technische Universit?t Chemnitz for organising and leading this workshop on UX for EV users.??? ??Why prototyping? ?It reduces misunderstandings among developers. ?It is an agile and economical way to validate ideas. ?It allows alternatives to be compared from the start. ??Fabiano Pallonetto (Maynooth University) showed a booking system for users, which provides information about the status of specific stations. Also, Lisa Calearo from Spirii (Denmark) highlighted how the hourly variation of electricity prices influences users' decisions. ??The prototype provided a real-time experience of an EV user looking for a charging space. The importance of a seamless experience with few clicks was highlighted. In addition, the following prototypes facilitated interaction with a ChatBot to release or find available spots, with incentives for first responders. #FLOWProject #Prototyping #UX #EV #SustainableMobility

We joined the 8th #RTR2025 Conference last week!?? Today was a very successful launch of our 8th?#RTR2025 Conference. More than 650 participants registered on-site and after speeches from @Rosalinde van der Vlies (DG RTD), Erik von Breska (DG MOVE), Pablo PEREZ-ILLANA (CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency), Christian Merkt (CCAM Association) and Michael Lippert (BEPA - Batteries European Partnership Association)?our Chairman Stephan Neugebauer made a very clear call to continue having a strong support to pre-competitive #research and #innovation activities. While results from EU-funded projects cannot always be linked directly to product development, demonstrating impact is key for all of us. Flagship initiatives can play a role by putting research and innovation results, Member States activities and industrial investment together. A good example is the activity put forward to support the emergence reverse factory; curious to hear a little bit more? Tune in for our circularity plenary session tomorrow afternoon ! The first 2Zero session was dedicated to development of advanced solutions for?#EV?charging to benefit both the users and the grid. eCharge4Drivers, and #EGVI funded project, presented its final results and three #2Zero project (FLOW Project, XL-CONNECT and DriVe2X) also presented their intermediate results. The session led to a very lively discussion, in which, among other topics, the #V2G, impact on battery degradation, cost-benefit for the users, the #DSOs, the #TSOs … were extensively discussed. Thanks to Guido Sacchetto and Christof Schernus for the co-moderation ! Looking forward for another day of discussion tomorrow.

Business planning & entrepreneurship Additionally, it encourages collaboration among sister projects, paving the way for impactful joint efforts in dissemination and exploitation. Shuo Zhang from University College Dublin presented the paper session “Home Energy Optimization using Vehicle-to-Home” ??Shuo explained the benefits of Vehicle to Home (V2H). This system allows EV batteries to power homes by shifting energy usage from peak to off-peak times, easing grid stress.
