The Evolution of Dynamics
The Evolution of Dynamics
Looking back at the journey of Microsoft Dynamics upgrades & releases, we see how the various components fit together to create what we now know as Dynamics 365.
Some of the more seasoned users of Dynamics will have grown alongside the development of the system. Dating back to 2003, the first version of CRM was developed by Microsoft to focus specifically on sales and marketing orientated businesses, CRM 1.0 was launched.
Whilst the chart’s we’re topped with Britney Spears’ “Toxic”, Dynamics CRM bared a dinosaur style aesthetic (see below).?
As time went on, we lived through all the verticals; CRM 3.0, 4.0, CRM 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016 and Dynamics 365. Each new version entailed new capabilities advanced into the suite we use today. It was 2016 when Mobile apps for Dynamics platform arrived, allowing users to access the application via mobile phones.?
The latest version as we know today, Dynamic 365 for Customer Engagement is a highly advanced flexible solution that's customizable to suit your business requirements. Businesses have the option of choosing a stand – alone application to meet a specific need, or to integrate several tools together to create a powerful solution.
There are endless amounts of applications of which we can integrate with Dynamics. Among the most popular is the Power Platform suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), released 2018. With its no code/low code approach, the Power Platform brought a user friendly element to the table. The capabilities are intuitive and achievable through a simple drag and drop.
