Making a strong statement on Company’s stance against gender-based violence, and in observance of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence, we at Flow for the 3rd year running showed our support of The Shelter for Battered Women and Children’s 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. I was pleased to join Colin Mitchell, Chairman of The Shelter, alongside cricketing legend Brian Lara and Dr. Maryam Abdool-Richards, Board Member of The Shelter for tee off on Sunday, November 25th, 2024. Several years ago, we launched our Agile Performance Development concept, which removed ratings from our performance management approach. Forty of our male employees at Flow Trinidad attended the Inter-Island International Men’s Day Ceremony, hosted by the Gender Affairs Division of the Office of the Prime Minister on November 19th. Robindranath Maharaj participated in the panel discussion, titled 'Fathers in Society- Issues and Solutions' a panel that saw us sharing details of our Parental Leave Policy, where new fathers can take up to 8 weeks of paid leave. The event was held under the distinguished patronage of the Honourable Ayanna Webster-Roy, Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister-Gender and Child Affairs and Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh - Founder of International Men’s Day. We encourage all companies across the region to support new Fathers with paid paternity leave.
