Founded in 1978 with the launch of Nathalie – the first modern padded and upholstered bed with fully removable covers – and a clear mission to create a new sleep culture, Flou has now expanded into total living with wellness, design and quality Made in Italy. Flou’s constant journey of research and innovation with the collaboration of illustrious names, including Vico Magistretti, has created beds - now true icons of design - and, by no coincidence, can be admired in every museum or exhibition dedicated to the history of design; the success was formalized by two prestigious ‘Compasso d’Oro’ awards, presented by ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale – in 2004 for the company as a whole and in 2020 for Nathalie. From the beds and everything connected to sleep science (mattresses, pillows, duvets and bedlinens), Flou evolved naturally to expand its product lines to include furniture and wardrobes, with the textured doors reflecting and confirming Flou’s textile heart; also a stylish, exclusive collection of sofas, armchairs and items for the living room. Flou clearly demonstrated its ability to furnish the entire home with the same comfort and degree of wellness that made famous its unmistakeable beds. A new initiative appeared in 2013: following the company’s consolidation as undeniable leader in design for sleep and its expansion into all domestic and hospitality ambiences, Flou founded Natevo, the first Italian brand that designs, produces and commercializes furniture with integrated Led lighting. A modern and contemporary flat a few steps from the centre of Cantù, in which the layout of the spaces is designed to optimise natural light and create a harmonious path of visual and stylistic continuity between the rooms. For the bedroom, the architects have chosen a timeless classic of Italian design and the Flou collection: the Tadao bed with its exposed wooden slatted frame designed by Vico Magistretti. The first home of an enthusiastic young couple with a passion for design. In the project, curated by Alessandro Zucchi, Flou and Natevo furnishings were used to create cosy and bright spaces, all united by a deliberately neutral palette that leave? ample space for their passions and their future adventures.
