We are proud to announce that Florida Health Care Plans has been named the Agency Champion of 2024 by the FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools! This honor was presented during the National Philanthropy Day celebration on Nov. 15 at the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art. For over a decade, FHCP has been a dedicated supporter of the FUTURES Foundation, not only as a top-tier donor but also through active participation in initiatives like Principal for a Day and Teacher of the Year. Our Director of Community Relations, Karen Eastman, has also provided valuable leadership on the FUTURES Board. Our commitment to the community is further demonstrated through programs like the Kids Tag Art Program and our support for wellness initiatives, including complimentary gym access for teachers and staff across Volusia County. We're proud to share that on Tuesday, November 12th, Dr. Del Rio and our dedicated staff visited One Senior Place in Brevard County for a Lunch and Learn presentation focused on diabetic health and reducing diabetes risk. Dr. Del Rio, who is board-certified in internal medicine with 32 years of experience, engaged with the attendees to provide valuable insights into managing and preventing diabetes. At Florida Health Care Plans, we believe in fostering healthy lifestyles through education and community support. Seeing so many seniors eager to learn about their health and ask thoughtful questions was inspiring.
