?? Florida Model Jail Standards Working Group Meeting: Ensuring Accountability in Local Jails ?? The Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA) continues its leadership in maintaining the Florida Model Jail Standards (FMJS), which uphold the constitutional rights of incarcerated individuals. Established to ensure safety and fairness, the FMJS are the minimum standards all jails in Florida must meet. At the FMJS Working Group meetings, sheriffs and other key stakeholders collaborate to review and update these vital standards, ensuring Florida’s jails remain compliant with legal and ethical requirements.
