Of the hospitals that participated in our 2024 Hospital Investments that Build and Sustain the Health Care Workforce survey, the top three educational and professional benefits they offered include tuition assistance (89.3%), nurse residency programs (78.6%) and a tie between Earn While You Learn Programs and Student Externships (46.4%). 30,775 employees benefited from the programs offered by these Florida hospitals in 2024. A 'Rural Renaissance' is happening in Florida, and health care is at the heart of it! Yesterday, the Florida Senate unanimously passed SB 110, sponsored by Senator Corey Simon. This bill aims to improve the quality of life for rural Floridians by enhancing health care facilities, providing health care training opportunities and expanding access to care.
