关于我们
Since 1996, The Florida High Tech Corridor has been a force multiplier working to unleash the exponential potential of the 23-county region we represent. Anchored by three of the country’s top research institutions–University of Central Florida, University of South Florida and the University of Florida–we converge and catalyze the capacity of high tech, innovation and bright minds to generate a global ripple effect that advances the lives of people in the communities we serve. Powered by an ethos of collaboration, we align opportunities, funding and resources in academia, industry and economic development to unleash our region’s expotential. The industry clusters we help amplify include: ? Aerospace + Aviation ? Agritechnology ? Energy + Environmental Sciences ? Financial Technology ? Gaming, Entertainment + eSports ? Information Technology ? Life Sciences + Medical Technologies ? Microelectronics, Nanotechnology + Sensors ? Modeling, Simulation + Training ? Optics + Photonics We enable applied research partnerships through our Matching Grants Research Program (MGRP), which has generated more than $1 billion in economic impact to date. We help convene a network designed to support women entrepreneurs in the development of their competitive Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Catalyst Prize grant applications. We lead Cenfluence, the Central Florida Cluster Initiative. Learn more at https://Cenfluence.com. We accelerate community-driven innovation by investing critical seed funds and grants to start and scale projects that revolutionize the way we make and use technology, train next-generation STEM professionals and celebrate innovators whose technologies are positively transforming our world. We inspire the bright minds of our future high-tech workforce through stemCONNECT, a resource for educators that reinforces STEM classroom education. How can we help unleash your expotential? To celebrate #WorldEngineersDay this year, we are reflecting on what our college has accomplished, as well as setting our goals and expectations for what the future holds—not only in our college, but in the world around us. Last week, the Dean's Advisory Board gathered to gain insights into the college's vision, explore how they can contribute to its growth, and engage with talented Gator Engineering students. They also had the opportunity to tour some of our cutting-edge campus facilities like the Powell Family Structures & Materials Laboratory and HiPerGator. #GatorEngineering #Leadership #HigherEd #Innovation

The Corridor team has thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the delegation of more than 20 U. K. life sciences companies as they have explored Orlando, Tampa and now on to Miami. When Florida tells its story of how its building a tech-fueled economic future and its institutions are working together in productive partnerships, it’s not only impressive to those meeting our community for the first time but energizes the ecosystem in driving our shared future forward. On Wednesday, the companies had a fantastic visit to the USF Research Park with Sylvia Wilson Thomas, PhD and USF CONNECT, were able to get a deeper look at the Corridor services in connecting companies to University of South Florida and University of Central Florida through the Matching Grants Research Program. The Tampa Bay Economic Development Council hosted a wonderful evening at Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) where the delegation learned more about how Florida is working to build a healthier future through research and technology. His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for North America Niall Mackenzie CBE of Department for Business and Trade, Agency for Health Care Administration Secretary Jason Weida, Tampa General Hospital CEO John D. Couris, USF Provost Prasant Mohapatra, Florida Department of Elder Affairs Secretary Michelle Branham and Haru Okuda made a compelling case for why Florida’s culture of boundary-breaking innovation makes it the place to take on the biggest problems in health with the best new ideas out there. Building these connections has never been more important as we face common challenges is improving the health of our communities. Thank you British Consulate-General Miami Rufus Drabble and Justine Assal MBE for all your efforts building these lasting ties. #florida #uk #lifesciences #trade #investment #specialrelationship #floridahightech #innovationliveshere

This week, the spotlight is on the international collaboration between the U.K. and Florida in the life sciences industry and we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome a delegation of British life sciences companies to the Florida High Tech Corridor to see all the region has to offer. The week-long visit began in Orlando on Monday and will travel to Tampa and then Miami for many special visits and engagements that showcase Florida's globally-leading life sciences sector — one of the nation's largest and powered through partnerships between Florida's public and private research entities, entrepreneurs and leading healthcare organizations. At the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council, Craig J. Richard, CEcD, FM, HLM, explains why this visit is important to the global strategy of the region's economic future: https://lnkd.in/eMQ-3sbA Want to learn more about life sciences in Florida, SelectFlorida's life sciences guide is a great place to start: https://lnkd.in/ecHK4rKT. Want to learn more about life sciences in the U.K., check out this report from PwC: https://lnkd.in/eFtmjbd9 and visit GREAT Trade and Investment at https://lnkd.in/exdsdeuW. We've already enjoyed meeting this delegation and representatives of British Consulate-General Miami and know the future of the life sciences, both in Florida and the U.K., is stronger, more productive and more impactful in making life healthier for all as we work together! #florida #floridainnovation #floridalifesciences #lifesciences #uklifesciences #globaltrade #floridatotheworld #specialrelationship #innovationliveshere
