Since the inception of B Tourism, our collective vision has been to bring the values and recognition of #BCorp Certification into the heart of the travel and tourism industry. B Corps have long been recognized globally as the gold standard for business driven positive impact, yet it remained relatively under the radar within our sector. It’s exciting to share that?B Corp Certification was recognized on Travalyst's first ever list of approved sustainability certifications!??? This isn’t just an endorsement—it’s a powerful opportunity for deeper collaboration and a significant step toward transforming the travel industry for the better. Travelers can now more easily discover B Corps within the travel industry, thanks to how Travalyst's partners (Booking.com, Expedia Group, Tripadvisor, Google, Sabre Corporation, Skyscanner, Trip.com Group, Amadeus, Travelport, Visa) will incorporate this information in their search & sort tools. The journey started with our very first B Tourism (before our collective had a name) gathering in New Orleans at the B Corp Retreat in 2018—where a group of passionate individuals came together with a shared dream. This momentum carried into 2020 at Taos Ski Valley, Inc., where David Norden, Leigh Barnes and I discussed how we could make it easier for travelers to find responsible travel providers. And it continued to COP 26 in Glasgow, where industry leaders gathered to explore how travel could be a force for good. The conversations and collaborations that followed, with visionaries like?Darrell W.,?Jeremy Smith, and?Sally Davey, have been instrumental in reaching this milestone.
