As Florida International University marks its 10th Annual Holocaust & Genocide Awareness Week, we take a moment to reflect on the importance of remembrance, education, and resilience. Presented by Hillel at FIU, the Holocaust & Genocide Studies Program, and the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU, this week of events fosters awareness and dialogue in a time when these conversations are more vital than ever.
This year’s observance holds special meaning with a tribute to Tibor Hollo, a Holocaust survivor, visionary developer, and founder of Florida East Coast Realty. On Thursday, January 30, FIU will host the 10th Annual Holocaust Commemoration Ceremony, honoring his legacy and contributions to both Miami and the FIU community.
It is fitting that this tribute takes place at FIU, home to the Tibor and Sheila Hollo School of Real Estate, a lasting testament to his dedication to education and shaping the future of Miami’s business leaders.
We invite those who wish to attend this meaningful ceremony at FIU’s MARC Pavilion from 2:00 PM – 3:15 PM.
