Looking for a unique and meaningful way to spend Valentine’s Day weekend? Join us for a special Mushroom Cultivation Workshop on February 15th, from 1 - 3:30pm in Richmond, VA. We'll be serving mushroom hot chocolate and coffee. ?????????? Discover indoor mushroom cultivation techniques. The workshop includes a ready-to-grow kit (reishi/lions mane) or you can opt for a choose-your-own adventure kit. ??? For this session we will also cover how to create your own functional mushroom beverages. Class will be held at Homegrown VA (1704 Arlington Rd., Richmond VA). Very fortunate to spend some time with and VNPS President Nancy Vehrs and Nicky Staunton yesterday. A "local legend in the Virginia botanical community," Nicky belongs on the list of women who have contributed greatly to Virginia botanical knowledge. She told us she is not a botanist--she took a botany class taught by another legend Marion Lobstein many years ago and was hooked. She is one of the many tireless volunteers who brought the Flora of Virginia to life. What a great honor and pleasure!
