We are thrilled to announce the addition of three outstanding individuals to our Board of Directors: Rachel Brown, Kevin Dougherty, and Kristen Fry. Additionally, we warmly welcome Jill Almirall as our new Operations Manager! Rachel Brown brings her dedication to empowering young mothers and community development, backed by her pursuit of a doctorate in Public Administration. Kevin Dougherty, a US Army veteran, historian, and dedicated community member, has a personal connection to our mission through his foster daughter's success story. Kristen Fry, with her extensive business development experience and long-standing advocacy for women and families, has been a passionate supporter of Florence Crittenton since 2019. Jill Almirall joins us with 20 years of expertise in business administration and marketing. Her personal drive to support young women aligns perfectly with our mission. These leaders, alongside our existing staff and board members, will undoubtedly strengthen our efforts to support and empower women, children, and families in South Carolina. ?? Florence Crittenton Programs of South Carolina is excited to launch the "Beyond Our Walls" campaign to support pregnant and parenting teens in SC! ?? As the ONLY maternal care home for minors in the state, we're aiming to raise $54,000 to expand our capacity and provide safe housing and vital services to more young women in need. This campaign is dedicated to the 54 girls we've turned away since January due to space constraints. With over 3,000 teen births per year in South Carolina, the need for our services is greater than ever. Join us in making a difference. Every dollar helps us reach more young mothers in need. ?? On National Injury Prevention Professionals Day, we honor our team, community partners, and Charleston Area Safe Kids Coalition members for fostering a culture of safety and support for young parents and families we serve. Today we would like to highlight some of our injury prevention programming that we offer to reduce Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and prevent traumatic injuries, such as our Safe infant sleep Car seat safety education Feeding and diapering workshops Financial literacy and life skills trainings Parents as Teachers- our parenting education and family support model Home safety Fire safety and emergency preparedness By implementing evidence-based interventions, we empower families and communities, promoting resilience and safety.
