Today was a special one for us as we joined our friends at Dakota County as our veterans cut the ribbon on the first segment of the Veterans Memorial Greenway trail. Flint Hills Resources was proud to be able to support these efforts by donating a portion of land to help make the greenway a reality. The trail will honor those who have served our country through military service and will be a fantastic space for all who live and work in the area to enjoy. A special thank you to our friends at DARTS Healthy Aging Solutions for providing transportation for some of our veterans and to the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce for being there to always support good things taking place in the region!

?? ??A morning well spent on the Pine Bend Bluffs just next to our Pine Bend refinery in Rosemount, MN. About 100 volunteers from Friends of the Mississippi River, Great River Greening, our employees and retirees accomplished a lot on our annual work day. Projects take place all year, but this special day gives volunteers the opportunity to experience the Bluffs’ beauty during the autumn season. Keeping our Wildlife Habitat Council gold certification is hard work and we couldn’t do it without our partnerships and our volunteers’ support. #Stewardship #partnership #community ????

Calling all teachers: The Minnesota Zoo is welcoming teachers from across the country to join its award-winning ZOOMS STEM Design Challenge. The ZOOMS STEM Design Challenge is a yearlong project challenging elementary, middle and high school students to develop solutions to real zoo-based problems. Using STEM concepts, students work in groups to design and present solutions at the Zoo. In March, select groups will be invited to showcase their design solutions to Zoo staff and professional engineers from Flint Hills Resources.
