On Wednesday, the Flint Center for Educational Excellence hosted a successful Community Council on Education meeting! Together, we engaged in meaningful conversations about strengthening education in Flint, guided by the voices and insights of our community. We took our time together to create action plans and discussed how these plans would impact the future of Flint kids. We’re committed to creating environments where we have thriving kids, thriving families, and thriving communities. Thank you to everyone who participated and shared their valuable perspectives!

??♀? Our Dailey Elementary scholars had an unforgettable time at Epic Gymnastics! We had 32 scholars and 4 staff members, who got the chance to learn stretching techniques, balance on beams, and bounce away on the trampoline. It was so much fun, they didn’t want to leave! This field trip wasn’t just about fun—it also introduced scholars to exciting career opportunities in sports and physical fitness, like gymnastics, coaching, physical therapy, and sports coordination. Part of our Single Purpose Program, it’s all about inspiring career exploration through hands-on experiences. #CareerExploration #FlintKidsThrive

Mondays at Holmes STEM Middle School Academy are all about building life skills and having fun with the Future Leaders Club! Thanks to our amazing partner, 181 Teen Movement, our Thrive Up Afterschool students are learning important lessons through engaging games and activities. Future Leaders Club is a favorite among our students, and it’s easy to see why!

Dailey Elementary scholars had an unforgettable experience learning about animal adaptations with our partner No 2 Stripes Alike (N2SA)! Scholars created adaptation wheels to explore how animals survive in the wild and even got to hold a baby alligator named Juice! ?? This hands-on activity is part of our Single Purpose Afterschool Program, which focuses on career exploration and sparking curiosity about the natural world. ??? #CareerExploration #FlintKidsThrive
