Flight Choice welcomes Jacob Shores, our Assistant Director of Operations and Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot. Jacob comes to us as a former Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve Aviation Command at Fort Knox, bringing years of leadership and aviation expertise. His military career included roles as an AH-64E Instructor Pilot, Platoon Leader, Company Commander, with multiple combat deployments. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor East Tennessee adventures with his wife, Megan, and their three sons. For us at Flight Choice, where we’re already focused on delivering tailored, high-quality flights with our King Air 250 fleet, seeing these innovations up close reinforced the possibilities for future advancements in our operations. As these technologies become available, we’re excited about how they could further enhance the seamless, secure travel experience we’re dedicated to providing for our clients. One of the critical updates from NBAA-BACE was the FAA’s focus on Safety Management Systems (SMS) for Part 135 operators. This emphasis on proactive safety management is highly relevant to us at Flight Choice, as it aligns closely with our dedication to prioritizing safety and operational excellence. Implementing an SMS isn’t just about meeting regulatory requirements—it’s a framework that allows us to monitor, analyze, and improve our safety practices continuously, ensuring we provide our clients with a secure, reliable flight experience.
