A little teaser for #TAKAware 1.3 coming early March - support for DataSync, including password protected missions! #TAK #ATAK #iOS Flight Tactics

An idea that started on the back of a napkin turned into our inaugural #TAKPROAM event and ended up being a huge success. Thank you to the competitors, sponsors, vendors, and observers who were able to make this event possible out at Reveille Peak Ranch. Our goal was to create an #ATAK specific competition that would grade teams composed of different military, law enforcement, and first responder elements on their use of technology to increase situational awareness and response time. A special thanks to our friends at goTenna, EVERYWHERE Communications, and Autel Robotics for their help in making our Lane 3 'Black Box Recovery' exercise a huge success. Competitors were given a coordinate to meet up with a local national who had further information on the downed aircraft and attempt to locate/destroy the fuselage. With no cellular connectivity on their ATAK devices, users were given access to a goTenna X2 deployment kit, Everywhere Comms Secure inReach Mini 2 devices, and an Autel EvoMax 4T connected to UAS tool to complete their mission (also some badass UTVs). All 3 teams successfully completed their lane using different SOP throughout the exercise to maintain internal comms as well as relay information back to the HQ for observation. Shout outs to Tim Miller, Timothy Y., Michael Gibbs, Jake Bailey, Brian Stam Michael Bergen, Jennifer Gerschultz, and Benjamin T. for help bringing this all together. Our friends at Phoenix Police Department were able to bring out a Pilatus PC-12 to test out air-ground video streaming during a flyover via Persistent Systems, LLC MPU-5 radios reflected into a connected network via #GVStreamer. Our goal is to always bring end users and vendors together at the tactical edge to show the art of the possible. Whether its biometric data, indoor tracking, device provisioning, 3D mapping, unmanned platforms, cases/cabling, MESH/Manet/Iridium networking, video streaming, etc. -TAK integration and interoperability are our #1 priority.
