The chatter around overnight trading has intensified with the NYSE planning to offer 22/5 trading in US stocks and ETFs on its fully electronic Arca exchange. The recent moves reflect heightened interest in trading U.S. stocks from retail investors during Asia’s daytime trading hours, as evidenced by the increasing volumes on Blue Ocean Technologies, LLC US-regulated ATS. Some exchanges are waiting to see what happens with 24National Exchange’s filing before the SEC. Others like OTC Markets Group launched Overnight ATS for OTC securities in September. Matthew Fuchs, OTCM's EVP, Market Data, said: “We have a lot of European brand names that we believe that Asian investors would be interested in, like Louis Vuitton and Adidas.
