This event showcased the advanced, portable border-check solutions designed to enhance security and operational efficiency at key border points. Focusing on Use Case #3, the demonstration highlighted a comprehensive, mobile system tailored to the unique needs of rail border security. The system integrates state-of-the-art detection and identification modules with legacy infrastructures, creating a seamless and robust security environment for cross-border operations. This innovative solution is a vital step towards modernizing border control procedures, offering a scalable and adaptable model for use in rail environments. By enhancing the detection and identification process, the FLEXI-cross system significantly strengthens security while reducing the time and effort required for border checks, contributing to smoother, safer rail crossings between Romania and Moldova. Focused on Use Case #1, this event highlighted the project's efforts to enhance border control efficiency and bolster security amidst heightened regional activity. Since February 2022, border crossings from Ukraine and Moldova have surged, driving the need for innovative solutions to manage increased passenger flow and complex security risks effectively. ??
