At this year’s Oley Valley Community Fair, Fleetwood Bank unveiled a booth that featured a collection of photos showcasing cherished memories from the fair over the years. It was truly special to see visitors pause, smile, and reminisce. Many recognized family members in the photos, sparking conversations with our employees about the stories behind each picture and the personal ties they hold to the fair’s history. ?? In a historic moment for Fleetwood Bank, we were honored to receive first place for Outstanding Indoor Commercial Exhibit —a proud achievement for our entire team. (And congratulations to our customers M&M Mechanical and Stars & Stripes Electrical Service, LLC!) ?? The excitement didn’t stop there. Our very own Oley Branch Manager, James Loshnowsky, won the celebrity-eating contest alongside Kevin Guldin of Oley Valley Feed Company. Both of their wins resulted in the donation of $250 to their respective nonprofit organizations – Jim for the Oley Valley Business Association and Kevin for the Oley Valley FFA Alumni. ?? The?Fleetwood Area School District?reached out to the Bank to see if we would help support the Nature Center Restoration Project taking place behind the?Fleetwood Area Middle School.? ?? The project was a full community effort. While the Bank covered the full cost of supplies, which A.D. Moyer Lumber, Inc kindly provided at a discounted price, Fleetwood Alumnus, John Watkins, AIA, RA, LEED AP of Watkins Architect, Ltd.donated his time as a consultant. ?? In Spring of 2024, Mr. Heck, Fleetwood Area High School's Technology Education teacher, worked with his woodshop students to build the bridge, and Mrs. Sherman’s students planted trees that were donated by Berks Nature and over 250 plants to help attract more wildlife to the area. ???? Thanks to everyone’s collective effort, students were able to start this school year benefiting from enhanced wildlife observation, the cross-country team will now be able to include the pond trail in their course, and the community as a whole can enjoy this walking trail. ??
