Our Mortgage Sales Manager, Karen Heller Waters, recently teamed up with Tony Gentile, President of Gentile Homes, Inc., a custom homes contractor based locally in Leesport who has been building homes for nearly 40 years. Fleetwood Bank was excited to work alongside Gentile Homes once more after a local realtor referred her customers to us. ?? Karen was able to assist a couple in securing a land loan when the perfect lot became available near their current home in Kutztown, an area they have adored living in and didn’t want to part from. Doing this allowed the couple to purchase the lot so they did not miss out on the perfect location and gave them the flexibility to start building once they were ready. With settlement checked off the calendar at the end of last month, the couple has since watched construction begin on their dream home. ??? Thanks to Jessica L. Thanks to the collective efforts of the community, the Help A Girl Out Campaign resulted in an 82% increase in donations compared to 2024. 86,151 units of product were collected for distribution to those in need throughout Berks and Schuylkill Counties this year, compared to 47,314 units of product in 2024. ?? Fun Fact: The custom painted Tiger outside of Fleetwood Bank’s Executive Offices and Loan Center was completed by Jess’ daughter, Kara Galeassi, a Fleetwood Area School District alumna and graduate of Art Education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. This tiger was purchased by Fleetwood Bank in support of Tiger Nation Art’s ongoing initiative to bring the community together and beautify the town of Fleetwood. ?? Jessica’s dream job? Being a Forensic Scientist because she would be able to “contribute to society by helping make the community we serve a safer place,” – similar to how she assists customers who may have become victim to fraud. She would have loved to attend the University of New Haven while Dr. Henry Lee, world renowned forensic scientist who worked on high profile cases such as JonBenet Ramsey, Laci Peterson, and O.J.
