    The International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Automation in Space (i-SAIRAS 2024) begins today in Brisbane! Fleet Space's Chief Scientist, Dr. Gerrit Olivier, will present our innovative approach to Lunar Ice Prospecting with Seismic Sensors and Deep Learning this Thursday at 13:50pm.?? Detecting subsurface ice on the Moon is essential for sustainable space exploration, but traditional seismic imaging struggles with deploying dense sensor arrays. Our solution combines sparse seismic sensors with deep learning to overcome this challenge. Through extensive simulations of seismic wave propagation in lunar regolith with varying ice concentrations, we trained a convolutional neural network (CNN) to identify scattering patterns in seismic data. This scalable, cost-effective approach enables the practical detection of subsurface ice, paving the way for efficient lunar resource utilization.     I'm excited to be attending the International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Automation in Space (i-SAIRAS 2024) in Brisbane this week. I'll be sharing our innovative approach on Lunar Ice Prospecting with Seismic Sensors and Deep Learning during my presentation on Thursday. Detecting subsurface ice on the Moon is a critical step toward sustainable space exploration and resource utilisation. Traditional seismic imaging methods for resource identification face major challenges on the lunar surface due to the impracticality of deploying dense sensor arrays. Our work tackles this problem by using sparse seismic sensors coupled with deep learning. Through extensive simulations of seismic wave propagation in lunar regolith with varying ice concentrations, we trained a convolutional neural network (CNN) to classify scattering patterns in seismic data. This method enables scalable and effective identification of subsurface ice using sparse arrays—providing a cost-effective and practical pathway for lunar resource prospecting.     News Update ?? IsoEnergy Ltd. has released the latest update on its drilling campaign at the Larocque Trend. Recent drilling has revealed multiple areas of radioactivity, underscoring the high potential of this uranium-rich region. ??A total of 30 diamond drill holes were successfully completed, spanning 13,015m and exceeding the original plan of 9,825m. ??The campaign tested several priority targets identified through ExoSphere’s Ambient Noise Tomography surveys, covering a 9km stretch of the Larocque Trend.
