Our first fun fact about Diabetic Eye Disease. There are two different types of Diabetic Retinopathy. Non-proliferative (early stage) and proliferative (advanced stage). In the early stage, new abnormal blood vessels grow on the retina, which can cause bleeding and scarring to occur. #EyeSafety #VisionCare #EyeCare #HealthCare #HealthyVision #Ophthalmology #Optometry #Ophthalmologist #Optometrist #Rochester #ROC #RochesterNY ?

What an incredible evening! I had the pleasure of presiding over this year’s Toast to Your Health Wine Auction, where our community came together in support of the cutting edge clinical programs and research at our Flaum Eye Institute. The live auction was a thrill and made it a night to remember — and, more importantly, a night that raised over $2 million toward vision preservation and restoration. Thank you to everyone who contributed with such generosity for a very worthy cause. And thank you to Danny and Paula Wegman for hosting such a beautiful evening.
